Staying Classy

Haven't had much time to work on the car, but it's running daily as usual. So busy with school but i decided to throw a few shots up that I took recently. Enjoy.

My friend posted up out at PIR. The place is like a ghost town most of the time.

Build it, don't buy it!

By building your own car you increase your knowledge of your vehicle. Plus any work you put into your car, you own. You can never guarantee the quality of work some one else did when you buy a pre-built car.

Slowly Building...

Well, the GTS rear is in and feels great! The slotted rotors are going on this week along with these:
Cusco camber plates. And let me say, those pillow-ball mounts are incredibly tight! I got these locally. Delivered to my door!

Blew up my diff

Luckily, i have been using a temporary rear axle. Last night while taking a corner the diff snapped. (5 blocks from my house!) Which means i now get to install my built gts rear axle. Complete with a T3 rebuilt Kouki LSD with TRD 4.778 gears! All new bearings, seals, and even a brand new companion flange. I originally put about 500 miles on it, unfortunately it does have a slight whine. So i took it out a year ago and went with the SR5 workhorse. But now i have no choice! I must run it! I get rear disc brakes back! Really though, the 4.778 gears change the whole feeling of the car. It puts the RPM's where they need to be in a corner. Plus the acceleration is a huge noticeable difference. I highly recommend the gearset.

Since a post is lonely without a picture, this is from the SEA to PDX meet.

Making the brakes work again!

I have been driving around without power brakes for two weeks or so. My booster sprung a rear leak! and the master was leaking on top of that. So, finally, today i installed a new (used, known working) booster and master cylinder. And while i was at it i installed a new clutch master and slave! Can't wait to do some hard braking!

86 ART

I drew this back in high school before i even owned a rolla. I will try to find some other 86's I have drawn. Or maybe i will just draw a new one soon. I used to sit in class and draw Hoshino's all day. I stopped once i owned a set of my own.

I sketch other car's too. I am all about rat rods.

i wish i could afford to build a 40's rod

The weird things we do to our cars.

I have this really bad habit of ruining trunk lids with really bad art.
if anyone can read all the japanese on this trunk lid i will buy you a drink or paypal you $1 as a prize
jk, but you can pat your self on the back and say "i am at jpn 102 level!"

i also like to attach random small things to it like mini fire extinguishers with kanji on them, and pirate flag toothpics!

one time i bought some dice. i rolled them on the roof of my car for the first time and... BAM! doubles bitches. Man, i really need a paintjob. But i will rock faded oem red till the day i die before i spray paint my car flat black!

and one more shot of the happy couple. trueno and levin unite.

love your rolla

Lazy Eye

One of my headlights wouldn't go up last night. I had to get out and manually do it. It took like a whole minute to do it. Fuck that.
